Donald Norstrom, of Mora, Minnesota, died on Friday, April 27, 2007 at St. Cloud Hospital. He was 76 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, May 4th at 11:00 A.M., Calvary Lutheran Church in Mora. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Donald Arthur Norstrom fought a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by loving wife of 39 years, Irene; children Holly Hiltunen (Paul), Tracy Norstrom, Terri Barrett, Julie Wakeman (John), David Norstrom, and Andrew Norstrom; sisters Ruth Nelson (Merle), Ebba Norstrom, and Doug Norstrom (Diane); 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Myrtle (Larson) Norstrom; sister Betty; and cousin Howie Olson.
Don served in the Air Force (1948-1951). Don (Nordy) spent his working life as a conductor for Burlington Northern Railroad. His interests included watching Vikings and Twins games, and trips to Las Vegas. He had recently completed a book he wrote about his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
