To Dianne, Susan and families: Once in ones lifetime you should get the opportunity to have a great neighbor. Our opportunity came when for thirteen years we had the good fortune of having your family next door. Your dad, Emmet, was one of those individuals always ready to extend a helping hand when needed or offer a hand in friendship. The world would be a better place with more individuals such as your dad. On behalf of Janine and myself, Joanne, Christine, David and Julie we sincerely extend our warmest condolences for the loss of a wonderful dad.

Dianne, Sue and families,
I was so sorry to hear about Emmie’s passing. What an extraordinary man! He lived every day to the fullest and always had a smile for everyone. I’ll always remember the times that Emmie and my dad have been able to spend together in recent years. I would sit and watch the two of them talk, thinking about their friendship that spanned almost 70 years. My dad and I won’t be able to make it to the funeral, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have such great neighborhood memories of Emmy! He was such a special friend to our family. He and my Dad had alot of fun too with Brotherhood fish frys and even a trip out West. So many adults in Braham taught us “kids” what it ment to be a citizen and friend. It is one of his legacies. THanks Emmy.

Oh, the wonderful memories. And now there is only one precious person left of the old Birthday Club. Didn’t we have a good time at Mille Lacs when we were little? One of my favorite memories is of Wally, your dad and my dad playing horseshoes out back at Rock’s cabin. In later years I enjoyed visiting with Emmy when he would come to see my mother in the nursing home. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Kate
