His dad and my grandmother, Karolina Salzer Eszlinger were sister and brother. I got to know him when he lived in Ashley, N.Dak., my home town also. I remember when Lana and some of the older children were born. He was a WONDERFUL man, kind, honest, very hard working and always had a smile and kind words. A very gentle soul.
