He was in the hardware store two years ago and we had a good visit. He looke the same as he had when he worked here in Stacy. Our prayers are with you at this time. Jim and Donna Keacher

He hired me in 1976 as a carrier in the Stacy Post Office.
He was a fair and honest Postmaster, a very nice person. God Bless you all and comfort you.

I’ll always remember those memories of the State Fair with your family. My Dad and Bert were two peas in a pod, very loving and giving people. I will miss his wonderful sense of humor. It was fun to watch him and my Dad, Vern, kid each other. I also remember spending many Christmas’s in Stacy. We would wait in anticipation for Uncle Bud to open each gift and shout “poached oysters!”
