We were deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your son, Dustin. Our son Troy was friends with him and had him in some of his classes a year ago. He was very upset to hear about Dustin. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

We grieve with you at the tragic news of Dustin’s death. Our hope as children of God remains with the certainty of God’s promises to us, however. He claimed Dustin as His own in Holy Baptism. He fed Dustin in His Word and in His Holy Supper. And now Dustin enjoys the bliss of heaven and beholds the face of Christ. May the Lord bless you and your children and comfort you with the certainty of a reunion with Dustin and all who have gone before in true faith. Christ is risen! And because He lives we, too, shall live forevermore.
