We were able to visit him twice in Coon Rapids...I remember one time he had 2 pork roasts in the oven as he knew we were coming. Yes, he was quite the gardener! He showed us around his yard and I was especially inspired by his grapes, we now have grapes growing in our yard, however, they do not seem to as well as his. I think its the difference in climate.
